I see ads on Facebook, Google, and elsewhere about how to build a funnel or how to optimize your pipeline and a whole lot of other stuff that focuses on getting new customers.
That’s all great, but never forget that your best prospects will always be your existing customers.
- You don’t have to spend any money to get them because you have them already.
- They know, like, and trust you; otherwise, they wouldn’t have bought from you.
- They don’t need to research you to find out if you are legit because they have done that already.
I was working with a business recently that wanted me to help them improve their profits. One of the first things I did was look at what percentage of their clients had ordered more than once.
It shocked the owner to realize that 51% of his clients had ordered more than one product. We figured out that if we could get just 10% more of his exiting 25,292 clients to order just once more, that would result in approximately $750,000 more in additional profit.
Here are some ideas to improve the frequency of buyers to buy more often.
- As soon as they buy, offer them a discount on one of your other products.
- Remind them within 24 hours that they can improve or enhance their existing purchase by buying your other product.
- Keep in touch with your buyer. Let them know when you have a new product or promotion.
- Offer them periodic discounts via SMS, Email, and tele sales.
